Welcome Hasher!

We are the San Francisco Hash House Harriers, a drinking club with a running problem. We have been regularly terrorizing tourists and traipsing trails since 1982, and have no intention of cooling our heels anytime soon.

We meet rain or shine on Monday nights at 6:15 pm for a bit of running and beer, so lace up those old running shoes and join us! (The actual running starts between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm.)

The date is 2/2! Let's celebrate the number two!

Did you know that the ancient Greeks not only thought that zero was not a number, they also thought that one was not a number? A number refers to a bunch of stuff, but one is not a bunch of stuff. So two is the first number!

Two is also the smallest prime number. One is not a prime number, because if it were, every number would have an infinite number of prime factorizations (you could write 10 as 1x2x5 or 1x1x2x5 or 1x1x1x2x5 and so forth).

There was a really bad Jim Carrey movie in the 2000s called The Number 23 where he gets obsessed with the number 23. 23 is not divisible by 2... but it has a 2 in it!

You can expect lots of two-related content on trail. Big parts of trail will be on 22nd Street, and we will avoid running on any odd-numbered streets. There will be a turkey/eagle split, so there will be two trails. Everyone is encouraged to use two vessels at beer check and at circle so that the GMs have to wash twice as many cups. While you're running, try to think about movies about duality like Lost Highway or Dead Ringers or Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.
